High school approved baseball bats – new rules

A new rule is being now made by NFHS, that only BBCOR high school approved baseball bats  must be used for playing whereas the BESR – ABI bats can be used only for this year and it is absolutely made illegal to use from January 2012. So, from next spring, every high school baseball bat used will be BBCOR certified. Many manufacturers, small or large are now busily involved into the manufacturing of BBCOR certified baseball bats. You can now purchase these BBCOR approved high school baseball bats either online or at stores for sporting goods.

To know if the high school baseball bat is legalized, you can check for the BBCOR label affixed on the barrel of the bat. At the same any wood bats for baseball may not require this label because only metal bats are strictly restricted. The BBCOR composite baseball bats on an average would cost from $200 to $300 and the BBCOR bats of top line composite would cost up to $400. It is now being believed by all coaches that new bats with BBCOR certificate have some significant impact on how the baseball games will be played in high school. This is now going to change the performance of baseball games totally and significantly.
