Hope you are staying well and healthy. It has been quite a big week over here.
I had a very successful virtual album release concert on Sunday, thanks to you and the 6,000+ folks who have tuned in live or since then! In case you missed it, you can check it out here. And if you haven’t checked out the album, Anchors and Balloons, please do so on my website!
I will be putting out individual song segments from the live concert on my facebook, youtube, and instagram pages in the near future, starting with Hinei Mah Tov, featuring Ross Garren and Brett Fromson. We are also in the process of shooting some gorgeous bona fide music videos.
I also just released a very exciting collaboration video with a group of friends and Jewish music luminaries. We are calling ourselves “And Friends” and it features myself, Rabbi Josh Warshawsky, Chava Mirel, Charlie Kramer, Rabbi Noah Diamondstein, Eliana Light, Debra Winter, Lucy Greenbaum, Jackson Mercer, and Colleen Dieker. The song, “Heart of Mine” was written by Cantor Marsha Attie from San Francisco, and I think you will agree it a timeless and touching song. In light of everything happening in the world right now, we are directing donations for the song to an organization called Jews For Racial and Economic Justice. Please check them out and donate generously! And please share the video if you are so moved!
I recently finished my third year of Cantorial school, finished my Internship at Temple Akiba, and am now starting a Cantorial Internship at Stephen Wise Temple in Los Angeles. I am so excited to be learning under their amazing clergy. You can find all our services on their website and facebook pages. Also, things are going full steam ahead at Kosher Style Records. We are producing lots of new artists all the time, have brought on a PR Manager, Ellie Flier, and an intern, Andrew Goldstein! We have our first event, Kosher Style Shabbat, on July 10th, featuring 9 of our amazing artists! Not to be missed! |
Thanks for being on this journey with me!
Keep fighting the good fight, putting goodness into the world, and wear your mask!!
Shabbat Shalom,
Josh
